Unbelievable...

I linger between metal and classical while listening to online radio, quite extreme choices one would think, but that is my music taste.

Slowly over time, what last.fm did noticing this taste of mine was to introduce symphonic metal bands like Ensiferum to me that are somewhate half-way between Dmitri Shastakovsky and Dimmu Borgir. I have actually started symphonic metal quite a lot now.

Of course, there are bands like Kronos quartet which do some real eerie classical music, probably there are some gypsy roots in the music.

...I must say all this is magic for me.
