Its not too hard to improvise on Indian raagas. Being the North Indian that I am, I find it very natural to improvise on hindustani raagas. It resembles more with the Arabic music than Indian, and can be very unpredictably off-the-mainstream at times.

It sure is fun, I think it would require proper training in Blues to really acquire the fine blues improvisation skill. Till then, practice practice practice...
